Hey guys I was looking to uograde I wanted to se eif this sounds good?

1.Motherboard: The new Asus SLI
2. CPU: AMD 64 3500+ 90nm
3. Videocard: 2x Nvidia 6600 GT 256 PCI-e or just 1 6800 GT 256mb PCI-E, then add another one later? Finding the 6600GT isn't to hard but the 6800GT PCI-e is hard? WHat should Ig o with. ALso the 6600GT will save me 150-200$, but how does it perform??
 
Hmm, CPU and mobo look fine to me. One 6600GT performs a decent bit better than your Radeon 9800 Pro. From what I have read, 2 6600GTs outperform a single 6800GT. You could go with the 6800GT, but the main problem is is that they are quite rare as of current and often sell over MSRP. Also, getting the one 6800GT and getting another one later is a good path to take if the next generation of cards is not twice as fast as the last one. I would say to get the two 6600GTs. I assume that you are upgrading from that P4 rig in your sig.

On a side note, its interesting that you are from Chicago. I have a cousin up there going to school up there. Nice town, but I wouldn't want to live there due to the weather.
