Aight guys here's the deal. I am running a dual monitor setup, one at 1680x1050 the other the exact same, but it's vertical instead of horizontal. What I'm wanting to do is match wallpapers on both monitors where the details will line up. A good example of the type of details I want to line up are from this website http://www.mandolux.com/

So what resolution do I need to crop these wallpapers for the 2nd monitor so they'll line up?
Also, if it makes any difference. The first monitor is a 22" the 2nd is a 21". I'm including a pic of my setup so you can see what I'm working with.

Thanks

I think what tou have to do is create a large wallpaper that contains both mointors. If you have the arrangement set up properly in the display properties (where you drag the pictures of the two monitors around so that they match what the real-world alignments are) and then take a screenshot of your desktop and look at it in MS paint you will see that it puts both desktops on a minimum-sized black bounding box.

For example, set your desktop to white on both monitors and take a screenshot (printscreen). Open it in MSPaint and you will see 2 white rectangles surrounded by black. Just put your desired image(s) into the white parts and they will show up on your screen.

The drawback is that your desktop picture will be massive. I have 2 monitors arranged rougly corner-to-corner (think 5 and 3 on the number keypad) and thus my needed desktop picture size is both the sum of the horizontal and vertical dimensions of my monitors (1680+1024) x (1050+768) = 2704x1818. I discovered this by taking a printscreen of a typical windows desktop when it had 2 maximized windows on it and saw that you could make a single desktop that allowed a distinct image on both monitors but on my PC setting an image that large as the desktop increased ram usage by like 14MB hehe.

Lastly, for that extra bit of [H], be sure to account for bezel space when you put together your desktop image!

You could try DisplayFusion. It has decent options for setting up walls on duals and beyond.

Check this pic from LifeHacker:

+1 for DisplayFusion although you may need the paid-version for differently-shaped monitors. Very nice, unintrusive piece of software.

Ultramon may work for you as well.
You probably could also create images that were 2730x2730 and that could also work (assuming both your monitors are 1680x1050)

I have never thought about doing that, I will have to account for that from now on when I edit images down for my dual setup.

PS- thanks for the mandolux link, I had lost that

Ultramon is awesome but DisplayFusion is a bit better for wallpaper...at least as far as filling all pixels goes.
