I'm not 100% sure where to put this but here it goes.

I've got a home/file server that I'd love to not have running 24/7. I believe that wake-on lan may be a great way to remedy this as I can just turn it on remotely when I want access to it. I have not looked through the actual bios yet but the manual for the board states that to use wake-on-lan I need a network card with a wake-on-lan connector and a wake-on-lan cable to attach to the board.

I've done some basic searching and have not run across a 1Gbps card that has the cable plug on it. Anyone seen one of these or have any suggestions? I'll take a look at the actual bios tonight but if the manual is correct wake-on-lan is only supported by the add-on card and cable.

It should work without it. Set the BIOS to wake on PCIE activity or similar.
