nice, stick it in the mail chute.

I'm waiting for one of you to start a thread about modding that's worth reading :p

fedex scared me last week. ordered an athlon 64 2800+, asus k8v se deluxe, and twinMOS 2x256 ddr dual channel ram to build my dad a computer for christmas. they listed "delivery failed / unattempted" on the order tracking. but the parts arrived in time to package (whew).

i work at UPS.. and um... sorry, but your package didn't make it :(

;)

I have a amd64 3200+ coming from fedex but its way overdue. Shipped last thursday and here it is friday morning and still not here. Was shipped as 2 day service and getting any real info out of their customer service is near impossible.

Learned aparently due to backlog and weather they downgraded it to ground service from memphis hub on tuesday (it flew into memphis on the 23rd normal from atlanta).

Then they try to tell me ground time will only be 24-36 hours to california which sure as hell is not true.

Heres hoping for monday I guess, whoever thought a 2 day pack could take nearly 2 weeks.

That happened to something I ordered from Dell, except through UPS. I didn't know, if there were complications, they actually downgraded the shipping. Doesn't seem right to me. Mine did come in I think 6 days still, though.

they can downgrade it and refund the shipper so much money, as opposed to missing the shipment date complete, failing service, and refunding the shipper ALL there money.

now... the shipper gets a refund, the person (you) that actually paid for the shipping get's shafted normally. you could probably call dell and get some money back though.

Waiting for my Dragon Naturally Speaking Standard V. 8.0 to arrive. Paid for next day air but every line on the UPS tracking page ends with ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS CAUSED THIS DELAY. Had carpal and cubital tunnel surgery two days ago. If I spend another week typing one-handed, I'll dropkick the keyboard.

Out for delivery means it's riding around on the truck and you will have it today.

YOu'd think so eh!?

Fucking bastard didn't ring the fucking door bell, he just put the fucking card in the mailbox. Now i have to go pick that shit up right now.

This is the second time they haven't rang the bell!

maybe you have an anti-social UPS delivery man? he's scared of dealing with people so he just puts the card in everyone's boxes.

if i was UPS and knew the guy I was delivering to was an ass hold I'd do the same thing. But if i didnt know i would ring their doorbell and hope it was a sexy single MILF that wants a "special delivery"

hahah im sick

The UPS guy here does ring the bell, and sure enough he got here about 1800 last night
But ya know, UPS/Fedex/DHL/ect ect. Are not suposed put anything in the mail box. If falls under the Federal postal laws, and the mail box is ONLY for postal mail. and if they have been employed for any amount of time, they know that, the shipping companys are very big on that. They even go so far as to harp the Drivers to death to make sure they understand that. If I was you I would call and file a compaint, not to mention if the package is left and they say you signed for it, and it grows legs, your shit out of luck.
Because if you do call they will check the tracking number and it will show a signature but it aint yours, that is if you did not sign.

I hate when UPS/FedEx send out the ninjas for delivery. I speak from sad sad experience. It happened on a cold day in December, a few days before Christmas. I waited on my new Dell LCD all day and yet the UPS woman didn't show up. I went out to check and found the dreaded "Will deliver tomorrow" note. It was like someone pulled out a kitten and shot it in the face in front of me. I got it the next day, but I was bummed for a long time.

Just thought I'd mention that my package did finally arrive, delivered by a stealthy ninja who left it on the doorstep. I almost tripped over it going out the door. I'd spent most of the day camped out not 10 feet from the door. I didn't even hear the truck come pull in.

They used to leave sticky notes on the door saying that nobody was home and giving me a number to call to schedule delivery, but I called and griped often enough that they started just dropping them off. Now I find them on the step, on the porch, sitting on the back of cars and trucks in the driveway, etc.

i prefer picking my packages up at the hub anyways.

then again, i work at UPS... and live not to far from the fedex hub.
