I want a new Dell but should I wait till vista comes out? ANy other major upgrades comming out until then? I want an ATI card, but they dont have them yet

I love these posts ...why wait. money was meant for spending so do it! knowing how things get delayed I'd go for it. someone will always buy it for a future upgrade

If buying OEM I would wait for Vista and DX10. Just for the fact that both will be horribly overpriced when they come out and They still be threw Dell but not as much so.

Tomorrow, you could cross the street and get hit by a bus. You can't take it with you, so buy it now.

If you need further convincing, let me pose a few historical examples for you:

"Should I wait for Windows 95?" - user in 1994, before they realized what 95A would be like

"Should I wait for Windows 98?" - user in 1997, before they realized that 98 first edition would be as enjoyable as Millennium

"Should I wait for Windows Millennium?" - user who had no idea of the horror they were contemplating

if u think ull have a few hundred bucks to spend in 6 months then go for it, if not then wait...

but this is vista!

So? It will be infested with bugs, just as all previous versions of Windows, and will not work with all of your hardware and programs. You will have to spend money to replace hardware and upgrade some programs just like some of us had to do with XP.
