I know this is kind of a long stretch, but I thought I'd try anyways. I've been interested in picking up both a tablet as well as a high quality display for photo editing for quite some time now. Instead of purchasing both a traditional Wacom tablet as well as a separate display, I have a chance to grab one of the Wacom Cintiq devices (either the 20WSX or 21UX, whichever I want) at an extremely large discount.

While I have heard some great stuff about the usefulness of them, I haven't really been able to find anything on the quality of the LCD panel contained in the device (color space coverage, type of panel, etc). The device seems like a great concept, and if I was just going to use it strictly as a tablet, I wouldn't mind much the quality of the display. But the problem is that I intend to use it, not only as a tablet, but also as a secondary display, and want it to be able to adequately perform that duty.

If anyone has some information or experience with either of the larger Cintiq tablets, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks a lot.

Afaik the 21 uses an IPS panel with standard gamut. (30ms response time, likely same as NEC 2180UX)
Wacom support told me technology in both are identical. (but I suspect the 20WSX panel to be quicker, likely based on the one used in the IPS Dell and NEC monitors)

The forum on the european wacom site (the only one) has been under maintenance for quite some time... in case it reopened it would be the place to find more detailed information.

Personally waiting for windows7 to get one, currently using an intous3 and X60t tablet-PC to get by.
(speculating that it would make sense if wacom reintroduced dual track (intous 1 and 2 had multi touch but it was cut in the int.3 line cause no one used it..) and maybe added other touchscreen functionality for the new OS input options)
