Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch, is the touch pad feature worth it?

I was wondering if i should invest in this. I can use it to sign my documents, draw some doodles, and most significantly using the touch pad feature to navigate my OS besides just using the keyboard.

Does anybody have any experiences and comments regarding the touch pad feature? Currently i have Windows Vista. Will the touch thing work on that or will i have to get Windows 7

I have the regular bamboo and love it for zbrush. I haven't used that one but would say if it's anything like mine it's a great buy.
