I just browsed on ATI's website and noticed that winxp64 bit drivers are out :)

they've been available for a while, still beta though... trying to get windows xp 64-bit to run flawlessly is the bigger issue. They're beta drivers and they are stable, but you'll have more headaches getting it to run with any kind of compairable stability than its worth.

Too bad Microsoft wont be releasing Windows XP-64 till late next year or later. Hopefully nVidia and ATI will be able to perfect their 64-bit drivers by then.

61.76 nvidia 64-bit drivers are awesome. The nforce 64-bit drivers have been available for months and all features work, including RAID. Unfortunately besides the drivers MS and a few other manufacturers provide, 64-bit driver support overall is pretty bad.

but the good news is that i saved a lot on auto insurance and the only driver i personally lack is for the PVR-250.

yea ATI has had 64bit drivers for awhile now...however they suck horrendously in comparision to there 32bit drivers.

nVidia's 64bit drivers are not as good as there 32bit drivers either but we are talking about like a 10% performance loss in this scenario which isnt really all that bad all things considering

Props to ATI for even making 64-bit drivers for a beta OS. Most companies aren't even trying.

nvidia's 64-bit 61.76 drivers are on par performance-wise in OpenGL with the 32-bit drivers. I think the small D3D performance difference is due to 64-bit DX9 itself and not the driver. I should try shadermark to test it since most of the execution time is spent in the driver.
