Is there an order as to which parts should go where in the W/C chain?

I've been thinking it should go like this:
rad/fan to block to res to pump

But
pump to block to res to rad/fan

Looks like it should work also.
 
The best way to run it is from pump to radiator and then through the blocks then res and then back to the pump.

If you can't do it that way, then you should atleast try to get it as close as possible to that order.
 
Dan over at DangerDen actually suggests straight from the pump to the CPU.. then to the radiator.
 
The only thing that really matters is you want your resevoir or T-line right before the pumps inlet.
 
Like Eresmus stated, the only real important thing is the T-line/reservoir before the pump inlet. The miniscular performance difference you might see switching the pump and block(s) order would likely be offset if long tubing runs and/or tight turn(s) are needed to get a specific order. Whatever routing is the easiest and shortest is usually the best, as long as the T-line/reservoir is before the pump inlet.
