W-2191B vs E5-2696 v3 for window vm

what would you rather have powering a windows vm for basic web browsing and work tasks and then maybe some gaming? W-2191B or E5-2696 v3?

W-2191B is newer and is stronger single thread by like 20% but the E5-2696 v3 has a lot more l3 cache--45mb bs 25mb, but when it comes to l2 it is the opposite 4.5mb vs 18mb.

Or is it not likely to really matter?

W-2191B is more of a workstation cpu while the E5-2696 is more suited for networking things like NAS or running multiple 10Gb-200Gb interfaces as a gateway server/router

I wouldn't worry about the cache unless you have a very specific work load that benefits from it. The W-2191B is most likely your best bet.
