I am about to buy a VX924 for Christmas, was wondering if stepping up to VX922 would be noticeably better. I cannot afford the VP930B, and I'm fine with a fast 6 bit panel. I heard that the VX924 is slower than the 930B despite it's ratings. Are these claims substantiated? Will the VX924 be fast enough for high speed FPS gaming?

Are there any really fast 8 bit panels for under $400?

The vp930b is not faster than the vx924 and it is fast enough for gaming.

Wow what train did you fall off of lol. Look kid no need to use vulgar insults. Point being the 924 is not faster then the 930b. In fact in some cases it can be slower.

Next time don't use statements such as "pipe smoking". And who told you that the vx924 is not faster than the vp930b?
 
I tried out the vx924 awhile back and it was bloody horrible. Not only did it blur a fair bit in games it had the worst backlight i've ever seen on an LCD.

Nah man when your smoking crack your smoking crack. :D

And not only my eyes but tests show that the 924 is not as fast as its cracked up to be. Continuing being a tool though =)
