vx2025wm issues

hey guys,

need some guidance here, i bought (2) viewsonic vx2025wm displays, one for me, and one for a buddy.

mine is working fine, perfect.

my buddy's is having issues, he is running a dual monitor set up (im not). 1 crt, and the other the viewsonic. his viewsonic is now flickering, and seems to be going nuts. he disconects the crt, and runs the lcd soley, and still flickers. it even goes nuts when its not even plugged into the computer! just the power and it still goes nuts?

any ideas on whats going on? we've both had our lcd's for 4 days now.
 
Have you tried his VX2025WM on your computer? I know it's a longshot but that's always something I do first. I myself have a VX2025WM and have had it now for about two months with no issues. Once, there were some weird green distortions on the monitor, but then I discovered that it was just that it wasn't plugged in all the way, heh heh...

Since its only been 4 days since he's purchased it, I suggest exchanging it out for another one. Retailer should have no problem doing that much.
 
newegg is washing their hands of returns. they simply point to the manufacturer.

good news for now though, he tilted the monitor a bit, and its fixed! he swears everythings was pluged in firmly... but oh well, problem is solved!

hopefully it stays this way. ill keep you guys posted.
 
flickering is back! argh... my buddy is pretty pissed. what to do?

edit: in the process of RMA with newegg.
