I too can't get the damn connection working again. In order to come to a solution, I decided to make this thread since I read that a lot of people are stuck in the same boat. So do what the title says so we can get out of this mess.

I will be updating my post when I see solutions.

Most people do this. It works for me.

1. With the computer on, plug in both DVI and VGA to the video card and the VX2025 monitor.
2. turn off computer
3. remove VGA connector
4. disconnect power to the monitor. Wait 5 seconds and then plug it back in.
5. restart PC.

Or use DVI_Recoverer. Also works for me.

why not use a search for the many other threads to find the answers.....

Because the thread that I found out about it is almost 80+ pages long. This thread was designed for easier searching for those problems.

Yes, I did use the search function.

I have tried the above method, doing a factory reset and a multitude of other things, and nothing has worked for me.

Up until now, I had to reinstall my ATI drivers everytime i 1. shut down the machine or 2. left the LCD off for a long amount of time and as of 10 minutes ago, not even reinstalling the drivers has helped.

Please god, there has to be a FIX for this and not a HACK ???

I also factory reseted the monitor (turn the monitor on while holding the the "2" button) but that didn't help either. Through the miracle of magic, my brother got it to work under his 6800GS but I can't get my X850XT to pick up the damn thing! It worked before but now it doesn't work, I know that it's the monitor because I hooked my machine to a 6 year old LCD with DVI and it worked, along with my old 9800pro.

I also tried the DVI Recovery disc and it didn't help either.

Then since you went through all 80 pages, you should take that info and paste it here for one clear guide, instead of having 80 pages of "i tried this, didnt work, i tried that, didnt work", not expect everyone else to repost something they already did :)

I actually read through 53 pages on it before I made this thread.
