Does anybody have any issues with vsync off in regular cs, whenever i have it off and go to any server i am moving really fast and shooting really fast. No i do not hack, but with it on its fine, never had this problem before with agp cards. This is my fist PCI -E card. Just put this computer together this afternoon, im using the latest drivers from nvidia's website. Any help would be greatly aprreciated, thanks.

Well i figured out the problem. Since im new to the PCI-E cards, i did not know to set the PCI Clock Synchronization Mode to 33.33 Mhz.

i experienced that.
with my 6800 oc i had vsync on...i was limited to only 60 fps.
turned vsync off and was able to up it to 100 fps and seemed to move a lot faster.

doesnt vsync and triple buffering related? if you enable triple buffering, dont you need to enable vsync on?

You have a 7800gtx and you're playing regular CS?

My thoughts exactly...

Why get the 7800GTX for CS when you can run CS on a Texas Instruments TI83?

LOL, yea i still play regular CS. Just bought BF2, and im starting to get hooked on that.

One more question that i have. When i overclock the cpu do i have to change the PCI-E clock? In the bios PCI-E clock is selectable from 100-145MHz. When i was having the problems stated above. I changed it to 110 and it seems to working better now. Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is my first PCI-E Vid card, trying to learn as much as i can. I wonder if the PCI-E clock is like the agp lock, in the agp cards?
