vsftpd + fxp

hello all,

ive been using fedora core 1 for about three weeks now, no prob.
i have an ftp server up via Vsftpd, accepting sends and gets, but no fxp.

acording to http://www.vsftpdrocks.org/faq/

Q) Help! Does vsftpd support FXP?
A) Yes. An FTP server does not have to do anything special to support FXP.
However, you many get tripped up by vsftpd's security precautions on IP
addresses. In order to relax these precautions, have a look in the
vsftpd.conf.5 for pasv_promiscuous (and the less advisable port_promiscuous).

here is my vsftpd.conf:

the faq says something about a vsftp.conf.5 file, which i found, and it was in the /usr/share/man/man5 dir, GZed.

so what i did was copy the .5 file, rename it to .conf, and moved it to the /etc/vsftpd dir where the original .conf resides.

[this is from a fresh install]

i restarted the server, and nothing, the server wasnt even up. any help would be great as my buddies and i transfer huge amounts of files almost daily. [we use flash-FXP.
