Engadget has pictures of VRX’s triple-screen racing simulator posted today that ANY tech freak would go crazy over. While I am sure you can probably buy a real car for the price of this simulator, it is still pretty swanky. And, for those of you curious, I have virtually the same set up…sitting on my desk, so you don’t need to spend all that money just to get some triple screen Forza 2 action going.

VRX has introduced a swank new racing sim of its own designed with a Forza Motorsports 2 theme and a trio of 37-inch Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD TVs. The frame is constructed from CNC machined polished aluminum, and envelopes the gamer by curiously including just one Sparco seat along with four Xbox 360 Elites, four copies of Forza Motorsport 2, an Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on player, camera / wireless headset, a Zune, force feedback wheel, and surround sound as well.

Sure, it ain't the same as having three 37" Aquos HDTVs and a custom CNC polished aluminum racing cage but, the three 22" Samsung monitors are used for work every day and my 5.1 speakers...etc. etc. so you don't need all that.

Plus, when you are done getting your kick playing triple screen Forza 2, you can put everything (Xbox 360's steering wheel, etc. ) back where they go and call it good. That race simulator would take up a buttload of space.

Home brew FTW!

Thats insane!

I wonder if any other games support the multi-monitor type deal.

I hope so.

For now it is just a kinda fun "WOW" thing and not really practical for people unless three friends with Forza 2 get together, etc. etc. but fun none the less.

The PS3 already demonstrated some apps showing essentially the same type of thing so hopefully we see a lot more of this type of stuff in the future...and at the very least...multi-monitor support.

wait, you can use 3 screens in Forza 2? For 360? Do the outside screens act as sideview?

yes, u can setup multiple screens for forza 2, if i remember correctly there is an option to setup multiple monitors.

mmm, with super duper bose-o speakers lol

Supreme Commander supports multi monitor, and it's quite useful. I usually leave one zoomed all the way out for managing mass quantities of units, and the other zoomed in for micromanagement. I have a 24" monitor as my main screen and a small 15" 1024x768 monitor as my secondary display.. Even an old crappy 15 inch monitor in the case of this game makes a big difference.

I also remember the remake of battlezone for the PC (battlezone II) was supposed to. "Microsoft FS9" and "X2 - the threat" both support it as well There have been examples of multi display gaming for PC's over the past 8-10 years, but it's never caught on to be mainstream. Some of the earlier ones required you to run a PC for each display. i.e. doom.
