I know some games have this built into console but I'm looking for a universal app that tells me how much of my vram is being used. Is there any such software out there hard?
 
Ok either im blind or above poster was wrong, anyone care to tell me where exactly the vram usage is?
 
VRAM usage reporting in only available with Nvidia cards. ATI cards only have a generic "GPU Usage", which means the core usage.

Hmm, when I still had my 4890, Rivatuner didn't have any such options. In fact, I had to use a work around just to get it working at all...

just thought id mention it since the thread title didnt state ATI only and im sure some one else from the nvidia side will come across this thread wondering the same thing..

in XP the video ram usage will show 0.. in vista and windows 7 it will use video ram due to Aero.. im currently using 154mb of video ram in windows 7 with my GTX 260 sitting idle.. but depending on what you have open it will change..
