What exactly is it ? It seems to me to be a tool by ATI to keep people from overclocking. Is it safe to turn it off ? Thanks :)
 
Is it really that hard to open your driver control panel?

That definition seems broad and pointless. When does it decide that you need to do a recover?

And is it safe to turn it off?
 
it basically kills the game your in when it gets to hot. my freinds sapphire 9600 pro does it all the time, until he zip tied an 80mm fan to it :rolleyes:
 
If your videocard crashes, it helps. It turns on software rendering allowing you to make a safe shutdown and reboot the video card. It is safe to turn it off, but as you can see I leave it on. t
