I'm thinking of getting one of these.... seems like all the new ones now have anti-glare, which is good.

I couldn't find one in a store to look at, so I have a question regarding the buttons on the front... is there a button allow you to easily switch between VGA and DVI?

The reason I'm asking is because I have a kvm which I use for working on my second machine (uses vga), but I want to hook the LCD to my primary monitor using DVI. In this way, when I switch to the second machine on the kvm, I can hit the button on the LCD to switch to vga.

I'd prefer not to have to bring up the LCD menu to have to switch between DVI and VGA.

Could someone with one of these LCD's let me know if this is possible?

Thanks.

No one has one of these? I just need to know if there is a button allowing you to quickly switch between DVI and VGA.

Thanks.

Just got the VP912b yesterday. I do not find any convenient switch to toggle between analog and DVI input, just the menu type selection. :p

Thanks for the reply Don. I thought one of the buttons allowed switching between DVI and VGA. Do you have both the DVI and VGA connected?

Is there a button that switches the monitor to black for a couple seconds when you hit it? That should be the DVI-VGA switch (if it does that).

I guess I'll find out soon enough.... I ordered one, and should get it by Tuesday. Hopefully it's as good as my Sony 17".

Just got mine yesterday, if you hit the "2" button it goes black for a few seconds then its comes back on and says DVI on the screen, looks like that toggles VGA/DVI.

Presently, I only have analog input, not having a DVI video card output. Luckily, Dell was heavily backordered, so my unit was manufactured in December with the newer non-glare, matte screen, and time for an added $75 Dell concession coupon for price reductions. Net cost: $435 plus CA tax! 6-bit or not, the colors are vivid to my eyes, with zero bad pixels on any solid colors, and no backlight bleed along edges with black background in darkened room. I'll just have to live with 12 ms response!
