Hi everyone,

Just bought a Viewsonic VP201b screen, and so far it's been super - except for when watching movies in full-screen.

The problem that occurs is that movies are jagged and look interlaced when watching them in full-screen, while watching them in windowed mode works just fine. This problem occurs with both BSPlayer and Windows Media player, so it's not the players or graphics card (running at 1600x1200 on a 6800GT, connected with DVI).

Anyone experienced this? It's not just a tad jaggy, the movies are more or less impossible to watch.
 
Ok, my fault.. I thought it was the screen garbling in full-screen mode, but it seemed it was my graphics card.

All I have to say - This screen owns.. Really, it does. I'd recommend it to anyone!
 
No dead pixels, no screen door, absolutely uniform backlighting - and now another problem that I didn't notice before..

When you display gradients, they get all messed up. On a black-to-white gradient, I get yellow "bands" on some grey scales, and I get a similar problem with other colors.

Called Viewsonic's support partner, and they offered to either replace the unit (DOA) or have it repaired (since the panel itself is fine, seems to be a problem with the mainboard of the screen). The only problem was that they have no mainboards in stock, so I would have to wait four weeks. I decided to get it replaced, will arrive next week.

Bought it in Sweden, btw.. Paid approx $1200 US for it, which is considered "cheap" here.
