Vostro13-celeron or c2solo?

Looking at picking up an ubercheap Dell v13 http://www.dell.com/us/en/business/notebooks/vostro-v13/pd.aspx?refid=vostro-v13&cs=04&s=bsd with the celeron 743(1.3Ghz, 800Mhz FSB, 1mb cache) but is is really worth the extra $150 for a core2 solo@ 1.4Ghz?
And how would I go about experiancing these, I have a system(Vaio Z690) that is almost identical, except with a 2.53Ghz core2duo, not really sure how to underclock..

According to http://cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php they're basically identical in performance, at least with their benchmark.

I would say it's not worth the extra cash. And expect a pretty significant performance drop compared to your 2.53GHz C2D, since you'll be dropping a core, some cache, and over 1GHz. It'll basically be good enough for internet browsing and office tasks.
