Vortex XP CPU block?

it is a rebranded fuzion. Ive seen pics on XS showing it coming with a nozzle as well. XS is down atm so I cant get link.

what's wrong with Fluid XP? I've been using it for months now and other than some algae build up it seems to work well.

If not that fluid, what other non-conductive fluid would you recommend?

It has a problem with forming white colored solids in the coolant. I just use distilled H20 and AC Fluid. If you do a decent leak test you won't need non-conductive fluids.

It's snake oil. Like TN mentioned, it will separate into particulates, clogging/dying your components in your loop.

It's non conductive state won't last longer than a week or two since it will strip ions from the loop. A 24 hour leak test in the final configuration should alleviate any need for that stuff in the first place. Also, distilled water in a CLEAN, STERILE loop isn't conductive and is actually an insulator. However, the components within a loop are often not cleaned well enough to keep it in this state.

Distilled water.... cheapest solution, best solution. Carries heat the best, and is cheapest at $1.29 a gallon. If you feel the need, drop about 3 drops of some PT Nuke or other biocide into it to prevent algae growth.

That block is just a rebranded fuzion with an accelerator nozzle stuck in it. Same internals and everything as the Fuzion except for the nozzle.

Now, has there been any tests on how the nozzle performs? I dont recall a test being conducted or done in the XS thread regarding this matter.

I haven't seen any real numbers, but I've heard people over at XS who made their own nozzle for the fuzion and got slightly better temps.

Probably not worth it if you have a lot of other stuff in your WC loop.
