Volume Control Settings?

I recently switched back to using digital coax to feed my speakers as opposed to analog. I have a little knob on my keyboard that adjusts the master volume on my pc. However, now that I am using coax the master volume slider has no affect on anything. It now is solely determined by the wave slider. So, is there any way that you know of to either have my keyboard affect the wave output or change the setting so that the wave slider matches the master slider. Or another idea I haven't thought of that could fix this problem?
Thanks!:D

depending on the KB's drivers, you might be able to re-assign the volume knob

as far as master output not controlling anything, that doesn't sound "right" based on my experience, can you provide a bit more information about whats connected to what?

Thanks for your help. Right now I am using my Realtek onboard digital coax output to connect to my logitech speakers (essentially older version of the z5500 i believe). That connects to the sub which connects to 5.1 speakers set up. When I turn the keyboard volume control, i can definitely see the master slider go up and down but nothing is affected by the volume unless I either change the volume on the program itself or on the logitech speaker control thingy or adjusting the pcs wave volume setting. I am not even really sure what wave line means?

I hope that gave you enough information. Thanks again!

you won't be able to adjust the volume on the logitech unit any other way, unless it comes with a remote (or at least has IR input, and you can use some other remote with it), if thats what you're asking for

although regarding the other setup, it should adjust volume on the master slider, not on the wave slider, which is somewhat interesting, what OS are you using?
