Just did a fresh install of vista 64.

Strangely, my windows sound likes to turn itself down to 30 by itself. Despite my settings. The X-FI, likes to turn OFF the digital output by itself when I reboot. Fun.

Anyone heard of this combination? The windows volume thing has done so before and just stopped eventually. The X-Fi is a new one.
 
Ty. I suspect it has something to do with my pc auto power down though. I think turning that off fixed it last time.
 
Pretty sure it is the power issue. When the pc is put in standby more, the volume appears to automatically go from 100 to 30%. Weird.
