Voltages for overclocked i5

Im wondering where i need to set my voltages for an i5 cooled by a prolimitech megahalem in order to reach 4.0 ghz

so please what should i set my voltages at to reach 4.0 on my i5?

CPU-Z is currently showing my core voltage at 1.424 with my core speed at 3.5 ghz

i havent touched the voltages they have been in low v droop the entire time

Ok, be careful with the MSI GD65 in low vdroop mode. It actually over volts under load. My settings below should give you a starting point. Notice my CPU Voltage in bios is fairly low but what I get wtih CPUZ is higher.. especially under load. Make sure you got the latest bios as well. Good luck. By the way my sig says 860 but the below settings is what I used for my i5 750 when I had it. I actually got a much lower stable voltage with the 860 @ 4ghz.

ONLY SETTINGS I TOUCHED: BIOS 1.5
20x200 = 4ghz
Vdroop - Low (when set to high the V-droop is a lot and meant I had to feed much more voltage for stability)
CPU V = 1.376 (Actual voltage 1.392 - 1.416, It raises under load which I am not used to) . This passed 5 Linpack Cycles, 3 Vantage runs and 8 hours of Prime 95.
CPUVTT = 1.25
DRAM V = 1.651
C1E = disabled
EIST = disabled (this also disables Turbo Boost)
C-state = Disabled
Overspeed protection = disabled
Green Power = disabeled
Spread Spectrum = disabled (also gave me higher 3dmarks scores turning this off)

okay so i did everything you said (after slight delay updating the BIOS) and my system crashed....

so i slightly increased CPU voltage to 1.4 and CPU VTT to 1.3 and everything seems fine now

so i am now at 4.0 ghz at 1.408 volts.... does that sound good to you?

also could you go into more detail on disabling overspeed protection and C-state? i never found where to disable these features....

on Green Power i disabled CPU phase control... is that what you meant to disable?

nevermind im back at 3.5 ghz! i did everything you said besides what i already mentioned and everything was goin smoothly....

it ran prime 95 on 4.0 and 1.4 volts fine but afterwards while browsing online i suffered a crash.... would you know why this may be happening?
 
You should not need 1.3VTT thats high. Also your CPU voltage isnt matching what i said below. When running prime it should load to 1.416. How long are you running prime? Run the top test first.. (small fft?) and then run the blend test. You need to pass atleast 8 hours of each. Make sure all threads are working still when you go to shut it down. Also download the intel burn in test v2.3 and pass that on maximum. It could be your ram settings causing crashes but what kind of crash are you getting? IE crashes on stock clock for me anyways :)
