Voltage question

I'm running an ASUS K8N board. I've been having some random reboots so I replaced my power supply, but I'm using speedfan and my -12v rail is reading at -1.5v and my -5v rail is reading -8.78v. Is there another program I can check those values against, and do I really have any option aside from trying to RMA the motherboard in that case?

Thanks,
Tsumari

I'm not sure if it is a MOBO problem or Speedfan... but negative voltages do not report properly with most MOBOs and Speedfan. Speedfan reports my -5V as all over the place from +1V to -6v... and -12V as steady around -9.15V. Most PCs don't use either voltage, so it's basically a don't care anyway. My guess is there is nothing wrong with your PSU. If you want to be sure, measure with a digital meter.

Excellent, thanks for the help -- that pins my problems down to a probable faulty hard drive so I'll work from there. Appreciate it.
