I have a Seasonic S-12 600W and currently I use the 6 molex connectors to power 4 120mm fans and my dvd drive. I don't know if it is just me or not, but some of my fans don't seem to be pushing as much air as they used to. I was wondering since there are 3 molex on each of the two "wires" if my fans should be getting 12V each. My fans could be old but I just wanted to clarify how voltage is distributed among the connections on a psu
 
They are connected in parallel so the voltage is not divided, you just need more amps with each device connected.

Tried using a meter to measure voltages?
 
so is it universally given that each molex can provide up to 12V and a total of however many amps the wire can provide?

Generally speaking, if it isn't universal, how many amps should i expect from a wire that has 3 molex and a floppy on it?

to test the voltages and amps safely, I'd have to disconnect it from my pc and bridge some of the pins correct?
 
You don't need to take apart your computer, you just need a basic multimeter to test voltage. Just plug the leads into a spare molex - black lead to black wire, red lead to red, yellow, and orange wires (orange is actually on your aux/atx connectors)

these will give you 12v, 5v, and 3.3v ratings

DO NOT TRY TO READ AMPERAGE FROM YOUR MULTIMETER

you can fry your psu and/or pc components by doing it incorrectly. Reading amps is more involved than just plugging in a multimeter. Test your voltages, and see if they are in line with the ATX spec. If you think your fans are not performing at nominal speed I would try disconnecting the others and seeing if it speeds up... I doubt it will, because if you're drawing power, you should draw the full amperage - other components will cause heavier loads and your pc would be unstable and have many other problems before the fans would give out.
