Voltage Functions

Hello everyone

I am wondering what a couple voltage functions do on my motherboard.

I have a Gigabyte 890gpa-udh3 with a Phenom II X4 955.

I currently (and just recently stressed tested) have it overclocked at 4.3ghz.

I am wondering though, sometimes, when I change the bus speed / HT link speed from 200, sometimes I can overclock and sometimes, I get an immediate BSOD. If I adjust the HT in the BIOS, sometimes Windows7 will freeze at the splash screen, or the BIOS will not boot and will ask if I want to load the default settings.

I adjusted my MEM voltage from 1.50v to 1.65 (the specs are for 1.65). and I adjusted the NB VID from 1.10 to 1.3v.

What are the other voltage settings for? I have:

VCC18 (1.8v)
VDDA25 (2.5v)
NB CORE (1.3v)
NB VID (1.3v)

Also, AMD's Overdrive utility, are settings that are greyed out (in the screenshot, the "CMOS Items" box.

Thanks for the information guys!

Also, I have about 9 temp probes (from fan controller) and if anyone can shed some light if I have them placed properly? Thanks again!

Bumpity bump...

I would like to try to push this past 5 gigahertz... But everytime I move the bus speed I get bsods like crazy... is there anything I could be missing?

Thanks!
