Voiding Warranty?

Hello all:

I was thinking of picking up a Danger Den TDX and a couple of NV-68 water blocks and was wondering if adding such materials to my computer would void the warranty on my CPU and video cards.

Will it? Of course...using anything other than the stock cooling solution for anything voids the warrenty.
 
You can always slap the stock coolers back on if your cpu or video card fails and nobody would know the difference :) . For moral reasons however, you shouldn't return something that fried because you oc'ed it too hard.

It still voids your warranty. This type of information can be found in the product's documentation, or manufacturer's website.
 
i agree with previous poster on morality.. but somtimes you just cant stand those ity bity fans... just save the coolers and put them back on if you ever (knock on wood) need to rma

i completely destroyed my cards rma ability lol lets see... flashed it to 5950....ripped off the heat spreader... put on aftermarket cooler... overclocked it past 5950 speeds... hmm somewhere durring that time i lost my warrenty

Only 80%?? Damn you must have read most of the how-to's before starting your projects. I usually see the first pic and end up killing a peice of hardware. Then read what I am really supposed to do.

Actually I havent killed much hardware. Not counting the 5 CPUs that I have pushed too far or the T-Bird that died for a personal expiriment. ( Yes, a T-Bird will kill itself before you get to the desktop without a HSF on it.) *DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME*
 
Yeah I *try* to read before trying something...but I have fallen victim to the 'oh shiney pic i can do that' syndrome....man that shit will get you in trouble fast lol.
