Workstation with WIn7 installed.
Initially, Vmware asked for key, user name and password when adding or installing a new virtual machine. I guess I've missed typed the password twiced..??!

Anyway, I know it's easy fix to reinstall OS since I don't have anything on it yet, but I like to learn how to reset or change the password.

Mount the Win& install ISO and reboot the VM

If you want to see if you can reset the password outside of Windows, I know of a way, but I use to get into machines I manage if the default admin password is not set.
 
Look for NT password reset on the net. That is all I can give you without violating rules.
