Ok, I installed VMWare 2.02 and it seems to be running fine.

I created a new VM for Windows 7 X64. I chose Server 2008x64 as I've seen recommended elsewhere since Win7 isn't specifically listed in the OS list.

I assigned the Windows 7 x64 Pro ISO as the CD option during the setup.

Everything seems fine, but when I run the VM, it goes green for a few seconds and then stops. I don't get any errors or indication as to what is wrong.

I've tried to re-create the VM several times in various ways, but nothing changes..

Any idea's?

Thanks

Oh, dear. I may have the answer. If I read the NetJabber correctly, VMWare won't run right if there is another VM product on the machine. In this case that would be Windows 7 XP Mode, which I must keep.

I base this on an error I found in the log and searched on:

VCPU 0 RunVM failed: -2.
