I know to hit ctl-alt to break out of the vm.. wife doesnt.. and doesnt want to be bothered...

sooo can someone give me detailed install instructions?
i did right click and say install vmware tools.. i have the icon.. just not sure what to do from here..
i was able to do some..

after running to install the vmware tools..
i opened the cd that was on the desktop
copied the gz out...
Followed vmwares instructions to get to the .pl file.. but then it errors so any help greatly appreciated from you guys..

not sure if this matters.. but i see towards the end... it says cant install vmare tools 8.8 on this OS..

im running vmware workstation 8.0.0 build-471780
does it matter?

I once was doing the same thing as yourself, I tried to install VM tools and it crapped out the OS. Would just freeze up on bootup in VM. Had to delete it and never bothered again.

guess ill explain to the wife to hit the ctl alt then.. it runs ok... other than that... :D
