VM

OK, I open up my VM Player and all it sayes is "Hard drive image is corrupted, not backing up"

Safe to assume I need to uninstall everything and start over!!

setup like guide sayes
setting won't stay set so I use the .iso one

From Main Screen, Click on Remote Reboot Enabled Hyperlink. Confirm Reboot. Reboot should take a minute or two depending on your machine.

Remember to open the folding.vmx file with notepad and change the numvcpus line to 4 ;).

Edit: Damn, too late!

Regarding the monitor, try navigating to the directory I told you about first. Go into Explorer and just see if you can access it.
 
I had two folders and setup one and started another! :confused: All better now.

Still working on the monitor thing now.

Also, does the VMPlayer box ever change with progress? Or just sit there?
 
Yes, the VMPlayer box does change with progress. It's just the whole watched pot thing, or in this case, watched computer. LOL.

But all four cores are at 100%
 
I guess I should ask how long it is sittiing there not showing any obvious results. If you are running the regular smp client in a vm on all 4 cores of a Q9550, I would guess 10 to 15 minutes a step, max. My 920 clocked to 3.8 with HT on, so 8 cores, would do a step in just over 3 minutes. Half the cores on yours and a little slower per clock, plus I don't know your clock. This is my reasoning. Anybody else got some input?
