I'm running a copy of VMWare Workstation 10 on Arch Linux, and I'm wondering if I can have a VM (of say, Windows 7/10) that grabs a wireless keyboard/mouse I have attached, and outputs video/audio to my HDMI display. My Linux system will still output solely to my DisplayPort display and optical audio, and be unaffected by this second kb/mouse/sound setup. My computer has the horsepower to do this (32GB RAM, 2x R9 280X GPU, i7-3770), and I've already got the keyboard/mouse hook to work, just not the sound (it's very choppy and my whole system sound will go over HDMI). If there's another solution to this that is easier that I haven't explored, please let me know.
