vivo? what does it do?

Lets you imput a video source into your comp to play on your monitor.


also lets you output video to a source, such as TV.
 
Also note that it's not a TV tuner. It simply takes an existing video signal and displays it. I used the scart socket on my video to plug into my VIVO socket to display live television and videos when required on my PC.

Unless you're restricted by the number of expansion slots on your PC (say it's a SFF), I'd get a separate capture card. It'll be cheaper in the long run than buying the VIVO version of every video card you want to purchase in the future, and you won't have the problem of your manufacturer dropping the card driverwise (my ASUS GF3Ti200 VIVO drivers aren't being updated any more). The bitter voice of experience there!

i just happened to notice that my new vid card came w/vivo and wasnt sure what it did, or what i could do with it. but it doesnt sound like its something i would use. i have no need to plug my tv into my comp.
