Typically a plain videocard that says VIVO is only Video In/Video Out. Has connections like RCA or S-Video with adapters. So your X-Box would work fine, or plugging a VCR that has a tuner into it would work as well. But they usually don't have tuners themselves. The only card that has a TV-tuner on it are the ATI All-IN-WONDERs.
You can get a standalone PCI tv-tuner card that can do all of the above.
how would you view it then? like is there some kind of software that I'm not aware of to make it work(it came on my 7800gtx, but I never had a reason to use it and was just curious what the point of it was really?)
