I need a tool to cap video from my game console that i have hooked up to my 7800GT w/ vivo. I've tried a few and they do an ok job, but the software is bulky and not all that hot. Any recommendations on something clean and easy to try?

Have you tried AMcap? I use that and its a really lite program, no installation is even needed. It does look a bit darker, but you can mess with the brightness and all that.

Try Microsoft Movie Maker, i used that, it done a pretty ok job. or give Virtual VCR a try aswell.
