Visual C + + 2005?

Is this actually needed for any general apps on your system, including any games?

I generally pay close attention to what gets installed on my system, and just recently noticed Visual C + + 2005 in the list (Add/Remove Programs). Not sure if it's actually needed for anything, or if it was installed with a game or some such... otherwise, if it's not used/necessary for any major progs, I'd just remove it. Not sure why/how it came to be on my system.

I hope you mean the Redistributable. If so, yes, its needed for some programs.

Yes, the Redistributable.

I didn't realize it was used for anything at this point. I recently reinstalled Crysis and Adobe Audition, so perhaps it was installed with one and/or the other.
