So i am trying to run CS:S and it worked fine, but when I installed the new 7.1 catalyst drivers, It won't work. I get these crazy shooting triangles and transparent walls and floors. Bascily unplayable. I am running Vista RC1 (5600), Core 2 DuoE6300, 2gigs of ram and two 160 GB HD's in a RAID0 array.
Again, I am running the newest drivers and catalyst center. Rolling back the drivers doesn't fix the problem...

any ideas?

transparent walls :D. sounds like you've got the un-catchable wall hack to me.

its pure dirver incompatabillity, throw ATI an e-mail, they need it.

Hehe, I wish. unfortunately, the distortion is so random, it's tough to see if I can SEE the person, lol. Some maps like dust (1/2) assault, and some of the other older maps I can do it on because I've played em so much I have memorized the angles, but still, it's hard to know where the wall is in front of you, lol.

Anyway, why would it work before, and when I roll back the drivers it doesn't?

I've never done a true driver wipe, I always just install the .exe I dl from the website, what's the best way to actually delete the drivers?

device manager-display adapters-drivers- theres in option in there to remove them;)

Ha ha....
I'm not a total n00b. I have heard of programs that can do a more complete wipe, and I was wondering if that was what was referred to before.
