Vista vanishing network connections

First off, I haven't been here in a few months. I wanted to change my email address to my new one, but I can't because it's gmail. The email address I have in my profile does not exist anymore. I use Alltel EVDO now and they don't give you any email slots to my knowledge so why can't i use my gmail? It's the only thing I've got! I say this because I will not be able to monitor this thread unless I check manually and that's annoying.

Now. I have Vista Ultimate 64bit installed. It's stable and has ran like a champ for the year+ it's been installed. There is ONE annoyance I have however. My modem is a USB Huawei EC228 3G modem. It's plugged into one of my 2 available front USB slots. In my connection manager, it shows me "Alltel Wireless Connection 16, shared" and it works. What is bugging me is the 16 part. Where the hell did 1-15 go? I usually have to make a new connection everytime I unplug the modem and/or put it in a different USB slot.

I've tried showing hidden files and everything to my knowledge to find out where these other 15 connections went and have come up short. I don't know if they are still active and running and using resources or not so I just want to tidy up a bit and remove them. Pretty soon I'll be up to connection #34 or some crazy thing like that.

That's about all I can explain about it. I want to find and remove connections 1-15 wherever they went.
