Vista usb mouse driver problem

I have a problem with Vista 32bit business edition and my logitech G5 usb mouse which replaced a Microsoft Habu which had problems double clicking on a single click all the time.

Every time I start Vista Iam asked to install the driver for the mouse. If I let Vista try to find it, it doesn't ( I even tried pointing the search to the c:/windows folder ) and it stops working. If I select dont ask me again it also stops working. The only way it works is to select ask me again later and then I dont have a problem using it. The installation of the setpoint software doesnt make any difference.

Any ideas ?

John
