At the end of the work day I restart my machine and let it load up to the login prompt and sit there.

If I log in right away, all is well.

However if I let it sit overnight and then login, it fails to load my profile and instead loads into a new temporary profile.

This tells me something is making an alteration while the computer is sitting at the login prompt for a long period of time.

There is an entry in the logs, but as usual you really can't determine anything from them. The log states:

"Log Name: Application
Source: Microsoft-Windows-User Profiles Service

Sorry for the XML. That's what the stupid copy button does :(

I can only think of a few apps that would do anything while the machine is sitting at the Login prompt:

1. NOD32.
2. The windows backup program, which runs at 6pm nightly (after the restart).
3. PhraseExpress.

This is a production machine so it's hard for me to take it down for troubleshooting and I wanted to see if I could narrow things down a bit first.

Thanks :)
