I was always one of those people who turned off User Account Control in Vista the minute the Operating System was installed, but after I had to turn it on, I realized it's a lot less annoying than I thought. However, one thing that is very annoying is that it makes a little Windows Defender logo next to icons that you need to run as an administrator (like Xfire).

How do I turn off these logos? I already set the programs to run in Administrator mode and the icon's logo remains!

The only way to get rid of them I have found is to turn it back off. You can try to clear the icon cache, but as long as you have UAC enabled, I think they are there to stay.
