Vista SP1???

...is SP1 out yet!?

I have Vista x64 Home Premium, and for some reason, while my friends with Vista have Service pack 1, I don't. Windows Update doesn't find it, and I can't download from Microsoft's website. And, I don't want to download those clean install torrents, although an upgrade torrent I wouldn't mind.

Why can't I get SP1?

Your friends might have been one of the lucky ones. Many people running Vista x64 (myself included) got SP1 early over Window Update. Either way, just wait and it will come...it's really close now (this coming week maybe?)

Does anybody know (sorry this probably has already been answered), if you have the RC do you have to uninstall that for windows update to find/install SP1?

Uninstall the RC prior to installing SP1.

Wait until it's released, uninstall SP1 RC, then install the officially released SP1. Simple.
