after installing the Vista sp1 I could not connect to the internet so I started to look for a problem in my networking settings and hardware but I found none after cheking the drivers for my network card I decide uninstall the driver and reboot my pc when it restarted I let windows install the driver.

With my newly installed drivers my internet connection was up. Like Isaid before I cheked every thing and did't find any problems. just wanted to let you guys know.

OS : Windows Vista Ultimate
NIC: Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller
Driver: b57nd60x.sys 10.10.0.0

One of my co-workers had the same problem after installing Vista SP1.

Seriously... I just got off the phone with him ~2 hours ago.

It turns out he also enabled MAC address filtering on his router the night before - and forgot to allow the MAC address of his WAP in his router.

You might want to check into similar unrelated issues.

Also, go into manage networks and delete/merge any networks that you are no longer using. (diagnose/repair - one of the hotlinks takes you to the page to merge known networks)
