The problem is the following : once every few usb connects, vista crashes hard... no blue screen, no auto-reboot, everything is frozen and I have to use the reset button.
Waiting does not resolve the problem

Googling for this problem wasn't a success at all. This started happening only after the installation of SP1. Vista has been running flawlessly for 2 months before SP1

Here's the config :

Asrock 939Dual-SATA2
Opteron 165 @ 2.6 ghz
Geforce 8800gt
Vista 32bit business edition
...

Some might tell me that the 939Dual-SATA2 is not Vista compatible, but after some research I found that its identical brother, the 939Dual-VSTA is vista ready, and their only difference is the integrated sound chip (which I don't use anyway).

Thanks in advance

Is it an older usb drive? I had the same thing after the upgrade. It seems to happen with my older external usb enclosures. I went out and bought a new one (Vista supported) and never had a problem since. I tried copying the driver file before the upgrade but that didn't fix anything...
