vista screensaver keeps opening in games!

Name speaks for itself, i play a game, wait 3 mins game jams up, minimizes, vista screen saver takes over huge lagup.

how do i make the screen saver disabled while i'm playing a game?

What if you tried disabling the screensaver for good, and then just using the settings to turn your screen off, after 20 mins or so of inactivity?
