Vista Problem - No sockets?

Okay, I'll keep this brief.

Vista 64-bit. Everything up to date. Everything works perfectly for hours, and hours. Then all of a sudden, my internet will partially stop working.

Now, it's odd because it doesn't disconnect me from anything. It seems to no longer open any sockets. For instance, if I'm browsing the [H] forums, they'll work fine so long as I keep browsing. MSN won't disconnect me. IRC keeps working.

Hell, it happened the other day while I was playing WoW and everything worked fine.

However, if I try to access a new webpage, sign on to MSN, log on to another IRC server, even try to ping somewhere, it fails untill I restart.

Resetting the router, disabling/renabling the connection, zip. A reboot always fixes it, and it will work for hours on end again, before it randomly breaks once more.

Any ideas, chaps?

EDIT: Upon further investigation it appears that ICS is the cause of it - However, I still wouldn't mind knowing if anyone has a solution, cheers!

I thought I read somewhere the tcp/ip stack in Vista is problematic. I'll see if I can find it.

Are you running any file sharing software?
I occasionally have to reboot XP as all the connections seem to be used up, even after closing down the torrent client.
