I have the following drive setup
C - a 40gb partition of hard-drive 1 with the fresh vista install
D - a 426gb partition of hard-drive 1 with the old vista install that I want to format
and
E - a 300gb hard-drive used for storage
Vista will not allow me to format D for some odd reason. It is grayed out in the disk management menu and when I go to my computer and try and format by right click it tells me it was unable to format. Help please

EDIT: fixed, can be deleted
