what will be the price at the local stores?. Is it even worth preordering when you could just go to BB and get it for the same price and not way to have it shipped.

What's the advantage of the signature edition besides the cool packaging?

hmmm not seeing it up in canuck land yet. you yanks! =)

You guys have computers now?!

Who's in for OEM copies when they're made available? I've been holding out on buying a drive bezel just for an occasion such as this! :D

I have a question about the upgrade edition. Say i upgrade my windows install and then some time down the line i reformat. Do i need to install XP then upgrade that to vista each time i reformat? That would be a real pain.

if it's like windows XP, you just boot from the upgrade disk and it will say "this is an upgrade disk, insert your old Windows 95/98/ME etc disk" then you put it in, it says "OK, put the XP upgrade disk back in" and then it installs

basically it just checks to make sure you have a disk of an older version

if vista is going to be your primary OS, I'd see what the oldest version of windows that qualifies as an upgrade and buy a copy of it from ebay and sell off XP

edit: looks like it's Windows 2000 and XP only
